Footballer To Give Young Fan Shirt After Storm

Preston will present a schoolboy with a signed Jermaine Beckford shirt after television footage showed a woman wrenching the striker's match-worn garment off him at the Sky Bet League One play-off final. But Preston North End have now said they will give the boy Beckford's spare shirt from the game and also treat him to a free stadium tour of Deepdale. A club statement read: "The club are fully aware of an incident in Sunday's Play-Off Final win over Swindon Town involving Jermaine Beckford's match shirt.
