School Massacre 'Was Stopped At Last Minute'

An 18-year-old was stopped at the last minute from carrying out a gun and bomb attack on a college in Newcastle last year, a court has heard. Liam Lyburd has pleaded guilty to nine counts of possessing pipe bombs, explosives, a 9mm handgun and expanding ammunition, but denies intent to endanger life. Lyburd is on trial accused of an alleged plot to attack Newcastle College on 3 November last year.
