Becky Watts 'Strangled In Attempt To Scare Her'

The stepbrother of Bristol schoolgirl Becky Watts told police he strangled her during a failed kidnap attempt "to scare her and teach her a lesson". Nathan Matthews is accused - along with his girlfriend Shauna Hoare - of murdering the 16-year-old on 19 February in what the prosecution claim was a sexually motivated attack. The jury at Bristol Crown Court was read a written statement by Matthews from 2 March were he admitted killing Becky.
