Two thirds of the UK's population rise in the next 25 years will be due to migration, the Office for National Statistics says. Between last year and 2039, the population is expected to rise by 9.7m and, while net migration is predicted to account for 51% of this, the impact of migration on the country's birthrate is expected to be responsible for 68% of it. Sky News Senior Correspondent Michelle Clifford says: "I think, without a doubt, people will be analysing this and saying: 'we can't cope with these numbers...this will put pressure on infrastructure, school housing'.
