Most patients do not feel the need for access to weekend GP appointments despite a Government push for a seven-day service, a study has revealed. The research by the University of East Anglia showed 81% of people are happy with the traditional hours of their surgery while only 15% said Saturday and Sunday opening would make it easier to see a doctor. The results have come as surprise to Dr David Lloyd, a GP in Harrow.
