Times Tables To Be Tested Against The Clock

All 11 year olds are to be tested on their times tables before they leave primary school - with the exams taken against the clock. New tests to examine multiplication skills are part of the Government's "war on innumeracy and illiteracy". They were unveiled by Education Secretary Nicky Morgan who warned teachers will also be judged by the results.
