'Size Matters' When It Comes To Earnings

The research suggests the cause of the lower earnings could be discrimination based on people having an "obsession with body image". However, the new study by the University of Exeter, which looked at the genetics of around 120,000 people aged between 40 and 70, suggests that simply being an overweight woman or shorter man puts you at a socioeconomic disadvantage. The researchers studied 400 genetic variants associated with height and 70 connected with body mass index (BMI).
