Faith Schools 'Failing Over British Values'

Private schools are refusing to comply with new requirements to comply with "British values", the schools watchdog has said. Chief inspector Sir Michael Wilshaw has written to the Education and Equalities Minister Nicky Morgan, warning that more needs to be done to enforce "British values" on private schools. "Despite the changes introduced in 2014 by the Department of Education to strengthen the independent school standards in relation to fundamental British values, it is clear that these are not being followed by some independent schools," Sir Michael wrote, in a newly published letter.
