The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations Begin

The Queen has heard what is likely to be the first of many renditions of Happy Birthday after carrying out two engagements ahead of her 90th birthday. Her Majesty was greeted by hundreds of well-wishers in Alexandra Gardens, near Windsor Castle, where she opened a new bandstand. The monarch met school children who were involved in its decoration before they sang a number of songs, including When I'm 64 and Happy Birthday, accompanied by the Band of the Irish Guards.
