The head of Ofsted has accused Theresa May of "obsessing" about grammar schools, which he says are socially divisive. Sir Michael Wilshaw, said the Government's priority should be a teaching system able to produce youngsters skilled enough to take the jobs of migrants unable to enter the country following Brexit. The chief inspector of schools, who was appointed by Conservative MP Michael Gove when he was education secretary, told The Observer that grammars would not solve the problem of attracting the best teachers where they are needed.
