Man rescued after falling into cement mixer in County Durham

A man who fell into a cement mixer while he was cleaning it has been cut free by firemen. "It appears he slipped inside the mixer when he was cleaning it," said a spokeswoman for the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service. After two hours the worker was eventually freed and removed from the industrial mixer on a stretcher before being taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of North Durham.
