Seven-day doctor service is 'unrealistic', senior GP says

Britain's top GP has said that making doctors available at the weekend on a routine basis is "unrealistic" and could have serious impact on patient care on week days. Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard, chairwoman of the Royal College of General Practitioners, said most GPs were already working "at the limits of what is safe".
